KOSAR MAJANI

Persian Poem
15 October - 18 November 2008

The Exhibition:

The work displayed is a large digital print entitled “Persian Poem”.
The artwork conveys the fascination the artist hasfor the use of colour and pattern.
The artist makes reference to her cultural roots from Iran. One moves through the image
with its many layers much as one would read a poem.

The meaning of the work is not immediate, it requires timeand reflection.

The Artist:

Kosar Majani is an emerging artist who currently produces photography, painting and digital art. In 2004 she completed a Diploma of Arts: Visual Art at Chisholm Institute, Dandenong
and is this year completing a Cert. IV in Computer Aided Art. Originally from Iran, Kosar is now settled in Dandenong with her family. She has recently exhibited her work in a solo
exhibition and is also currently working towards a public arts project in Dandenong.

Kosar is a talented and committed artist who plans to further her study of Art at University.
