Digital Corset
Digital Imaging and Printmaking 2008
Leanne has recently successfully completed a Cert IV in Contemporary Art
at Chisholm Institute and also completed a Diploma of Arts in Visual art
at both Frankston and Dandenong campuses. Leanne has worked as a
photographer and is multi-skilled as an artist. In the forthcoming exhibition Leanne
will be displaying a large scale work which initially began as a small post card size etching of a corset. The etching image was then taken onto Photoshop and
merged with a series of painting images linked to the exploration of the theme "tattoo".
The corset image was then developed into a series of 5 images and printed large scale approximately 3 m in length. The slightly pixelated, digital image adds a further dimension as one engages the multi-layered meanings of this work.
